Our mission is to create a community for our fellow bookish friends that highlights and centers disabled voices. Every other month, we read a book with disability representation & discuss our thoughts at the end of the month via a group chat.

Book Review: Mother Tongue by Sara Nović
Check out @LibraryOfDreaming’s review of MOTHER TONGUE by Sara Nović, a memoir about the author’s experience with deafness, religion, gender identity, motherhood, adoption, and more. This book was moving, intriguing, and enraging. Beyond anything, it is timely and vital for those of you invested in disability justice. I highly recommend it and it’s definitely a new favorite for me.

These poems covers a variety of topics including disability justice, nature, embodiment, love, trauma, ancestry, and more with clever and immersive writing.
Book Review: A Little Less Invisible by Maisie M. Peters
Check out @LibraryOfDreaming’s review of A LITTLE LESS INVISIBLE by Maisie M. Peters, a teen fantasy book featuring chronic illness representation based on the author’s personal experience with POTS, hEDS, MCAS, and chronic pain. This book took me by surprise with its fabulous humor, moving disability rep, and fun fantasy hijinks! It’s a new favorite and I’m hoping for a sequel!
Book Review: Someone to Daydream About by Sydney Langford
Check out @LibraryOfDreaming’s review of SOMEONE TO DAYDREAM ABOUT by Sydney Langro, an YA romance featuring a Deaf main character and a dyslexic love interest based on the author’s personal experience. This charming romcom was lots of fun while also being deep and riveting. It’s the perfect vacation read with heartfelt disability rep!
